Comments from our guests
“We arrived on Saturday for one week, to rain and chestnuts falling on our heads. Linda kitted us out with jumpers,
coats and walking shoes as we had summer sandals and bikinis.
And then the sun shone, and shone.
It has been brilliant. Highlights have been the breathtaking views, and of course all
the lovely food and wine.
Apartment first class.
We just don’t want to go home.
Thank you. Thank you.
We just don’t want
to go back.”

“Thanks for a wonderful welcome – the welcome food pack, the fabulous meals you cooked for us and all the things that make it home – books, toiletries – nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely area. Very rugged. Wonderful caves, mediaeval towns and wildlife. All in all a great holiday. A relaxing break from the grind.”

“It has been great staying here for the past 2 weeks. I think that we went in the pool practically every day. We had a great time when we went to Lucca on the train. I’m going to miss it here. Thanks for letting us stay.”
Rosie (aged 15 )

“Hospitality 5 star. Vistas first class with house being a very high standard. Must do’s:
Drive to Massa / Carrara
Grotta del Vento
Fornaci for local shops
Evening village fairs
Lucca, Florence, Fortei dei Marmi, Castlenuovo, Pisa
Alpe San Antonio for sunsets
Walk to Rifugio Rossi for coffee – 3 hour round trip from road end
We’ll need to come back as 2 weeks not enough to cover even half of the things to do in this wonderful area.
Thanks to our hosts for inspirational ideas for days out.
